Vetting police officers privately a facade

5 months 1 day ago #35 by
The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has claimed that it is conducting the police vetting in-camera to avert biased reporting by the media. Previously the exercise had concentrated more on corruption at the expense of other ethical issues like the respect for human rights. Just recently the dismissed more than 400 traffic police officers after they failed in the vetting process. Do you think NPSC that the vetting of officers privately is in good taste and what are your views on the whole exercise?
